Founder

Riaz A. Choudhury

Riaz played an instrumental role in setting-up EACTI under their family (EACF) Foundation. He has around 27 years of experience in the financial sector focusing on corporate finance, investment, and business development. He had worked at HSBC Bangladesh for 24 years in commercial banking where he led large teams as well as formulated and implemented strategic objectives for the bank. Riaz completed his Bachelor & Master degrees, majoring in Finance from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He also has an MBA in International Business, jointly offered by Maastricht School of Management (MSM), The Netherlands and Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). He has undergone key leadership and management development programs both internally and externally organized by London Business School (LBS), INSEAD Business School, Indian School of Business (ISB) and other reputed institutions

After taking early retirement from HSBC in 2024, Riaz became actively involved in social and voluntary activities, namely: Treasurer (voluntary), National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute – a not-for-profit large and specialized heart hospital; Founder – EACF Foundation – E. A. Chaudhury Family Foundation, a charitable organization involved in development of socio-economic wellbeing of underprivileged people. EACTI (TVET institute) is the single largest initiative of EACF Foundation.

Riaz also became independent Directors of Power Grid Company Bangladesh (PGCB), the national electricity distribution company and Midland Bank Plc, a commercial bank – both listed in local stock exchange. Riaz is married and blessed with two sons. His personal interests include travelling and cricket.

Principal

Md. Tofazzel Hossain

Md. Tofazzel Hossain has been involved with EACTI as a technical consultant since its conceptualization stage from 2020 and later joined as the Head of Institute. During his 36 years of career in TVET sector, he worked at senior roles at CMES (Center for Mass Education in Science), Dhaka, UCEP Bangladesh, PMK Technical Training Institute, Dhaka, ADAMS Integrated Training Institute, Khulna.

Md. Tofazzel Hossain completed his Mechanical Engineering and trained in numerous skills training such as Basic Instructional Training, Pedagogy, Effective Social work, Women and Child Right, Lobur Law, Training of Trainers, Generating Sustainability, Management and Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Business Development Training, Management of career guidance, Developing Green Skills to produce Skilled Workers for Sustainable Development, Vocational Excellence in the Time of COVID- 19, Career Counseling and Vocational Guidance Skills, New Dimension of TVET with Innovation and Technopreneurship, Job Market Survey and Placement, Teaching Training Material Development etc.

He is also involved in various associations, including the Institute of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh and the Technical Teachers Association.
